1. The Punchliner Comedy Club
While most cruise lines offer a comedy act or two, Carnival is unique for having an entire club devoted to comedy. There are multiple shows each night, some family friendly and some geared towards adults. Since the club is generally in one of the smaller lounges, you’ll want to arrive early. Seats fill up quickly.
2. Sea Day Brunch
Be sure to visit the main dining room on sea days for Carnival’s Sea Day Brunch. The brunch runs from 8:30 to 1:00 so you can sleep in and still enjoy a plate of blueberry pancakes or eggs Benedict. You can even eat breakfast and go back again later for lunch!
3. The Alchemy Bar
The Alchemy Bar, a cocktail and martini bar with a vintage-pharmacy theme, serves hand-crafted drinks with names like “The Remedy”, “The Quick Fix” or “The Antioxidant”. Although you won’t find beer at this bar, you aren’t limited to the menu. Tell the mixologists what you like, and they will stir up something special for you.
4. Serenity Retreat
If you want to avoid the main pool crowds (and kids) while working on your tan, the adults-only Serenity Retreat is a nice option. This area has cushioned lounge chairs, sun beds, clam shells and even hammocks.
5. Relaxing on a deck chair
Whether it’s by the pool or on your balcony, nothing says vacation like a chair with a view of the ocean.
Comedy, Food, fine drink & relaxing with an ocean view. All things I look forward to whenever I go on my first cruise.
